Weekend and Morning Fun!

My weekend started off fun. I was coming home Friday afternoon, somehow, when I drove over the railroad tracks, I popped a tire.(-_-) So there went $100 we weren't planning on spending. Super lame! Saturday we had slept in, had a chill day, then we had some friends over some "authentic" Philly Cheesesteaks!! They were SOOOO GOOD! Sunday we did some geocaching with friends, and watched movies. Finally watched 'The Hunger Games'. I didn't love it or hate it, it was okay. This morning, we are painting!! Vinnie is having a blast, I'm having anxiety. haha.

Nursing in Public

Last Sunday (Jan. 6th) My sister, her sister-in-law, and a friend went to Hollister is Wilmington, DE to protest a woman's right to nurse her child in pubic. Apparently a woman in Houston, TX was harassed about it. Well, this whole situation has me fuming. For one, they are BOOBS. Everybody has seen them. I think people forget that a woman breasts primary function is feeding one's offspring, not sexual pleasure. I can't stand when people act like a woman breastfeeding her child is an "eyesore". If it offends you... keep walking, don't look. Simple. I absolutely cannot stand when people say that women should have to breastfeed in the bathroom... THE BATHROOM?!?!? A PUBLIC FUCKING BATHROOM?! Are you kidding me?! I'm willing to bet not ONE of those assholes ever ate a single meal in a public bathroom. That is ridiculous. UGH! People disgust me. So the Concord Mall, where this all went down, posted some OUTRAGEOUS comments on their facebook page, then went back and said they never even had a facebook page. However, when you go to their website, there is a facebook "follow me" icon right there in your face.. can't miss it. Well, they have since removed the facebook page and the button. The security officer's at the mall brought the State Police with them to confront my sister and company. They wanted them to be arrested for indecent exposure. Well, it just so happened that my sister had a copy of the Delaware law that says women have the right to nurse in public. Well, this whole thing is getting national attention, which is cool, because it raises awareness, but some of the comments on these articles are infuriating. The ignorance of some people! My blood pressure is rising as I'm writing this. So anyway, SUPPORT NURSING IN PUBIC!

A little about me ;x

I am Megan, married to Rob... 5 years together, and 3 married. My old son turned 8 in November, he lives with his daddy, by his choice, mostly. <-- I get asked WHY and HOW I could let him live with his dad all the time. It's simple, my ex is a VERY GOOD Daddy, so when my son asked if he could live with his Daddy I said yes, even though it broke my heart, it was what made my son happy and is what's best for him, and that is what is most important to me. My other son Vinnie, turned 4 in October, he is a ball full of energy at home, but he is PAINFULLY SHY in public, anyone else have this problem?? lol, drives me crazy. He also just started speech therapy, he goes once a week and we have gone 5 or 6 times so far, and most times he didn't say one word to the therapist!! I also have a spoiled rotten dog, he is a boxer/pit mix, named Kita and he is about 2 years old. We rescued him from the streets, he was starving and ate up with fleas when we got him, but he is now a happy healthy dog. I also just adopted a Chihuahua named Butch, but son calls him Bitch half the time, so he may be getting a name change. As for me, I enjoy geocahcing, cafemom, reading, playdates at the park, baking, and sometimes crocheting if my hands allow it. I have arthritis pretty bad in my hands. :\ We live in Greenville, SC, but we are originally from Wilmington, DE area. (Yes, I have met Joe Biden ;x <-- another question I get asked a lot) Right now we are living in a trailer. It's crazy, back home if you lived in a trailer.. you were, well, trailer trash, but down here trailers are more common than apartment complexes. LOL. With that being said, I still don't like this trailer, but the rent is CHEAP and it allows me to stay at home with Vinnie, however I am starting to look into going back to work because we just bought a NEW CAR! WOOT! And the budget is going to be really tight, and I want Vinnie to be around other people more so he *hopefully* comes out of his shell!! I am a huge advocate for breast-feeding, cloth diapering, and everything "crunchy", however I do not judge others parenting choices.  I have however had plenty of people tell me how crazy I was for cloth diapering and breastfeeding. LOL, that's okay, though. Well shit, I think I covered it all! If you have any questions, feel free to ask me!
